Susan Mayfield spent most of her life in the semi-tropics of the Lowcountry of South Carolina, surrounded by watery landscape and painting the ocean, creek, marshes, rivers. She now lives in Salida, Colorado, and paints the Arkansas River, and the memory of water in the canyons and the high mountain desert.
